Dassanayaka Yoga is the perfect place to come when you need to stop and take a moment from the demands of your day to day routine. This tranquil, friendly and unique studio, is based in a converted local milk bar, just moments away from bustling High Street, Northcote.
This is one of the more interesting yoga studios around. There is a strong base of dedicated members of all ages from the local community, but many travel from other neighbourhoods to take part in our daily practice, or to attend meditation and yoga workshop intensives. The warmly decorated studio offers a place to relax and focus on your yoga practice, unwinding to the trickle of the fountain, amongst Eastern statues and icons.
You can experience a candlelit night-time class to wind down for the evening, or an energy-generating morning class to boost your day. Take time in our spacious garden to admire the new growth and leave with a handful of homegrown veggies. You may even be rewarded with a gorgeous meal cooked by Channa (he's actually a master of Sri Lankan cuisine, who has dedicated his life to teaching yoga).
About Dassanayaka Yoga Dassanayaka Yoga suits people of all ages and fitness levels.

curries: before serving any of your favourite curries, sprinkle this aromatic blend on top and toss.

Add all ingredients together and roast in a warm pan, tossing gently until ingredients are a coffee
colour but not burnt. Grind ingredients with a mortar and pestle or coffee grinder. Store in an
